Orchestra

Orchestra, oil on canvas, 5 x 4 feet

My son, a linear thinker, looked at this painting and says he sees an orchestra. Others see waves. Some see people clapping. Me? I see a chance to explore the calligraphic strokes to create imageries. I have no preconceived ideas of what a painting will convey when I start one. But if it touches someone, then I’m touched.

Your son is right, I can even see the conductor on the center left of the base fiddle.
It looks as though your looking at the Orchestra from the right side of the audience looking at the stage.

I love this Marlene! How can I get one of your pieces?

    • Marlene Lee says:

      Hi, Tricia,
Thanks for your interest. You can either buy the original or buy the print. The listing of websites where you can buy prints are under the To Purchase page. But to buy the originals, we would have to contact each other in email and meet in person.
