Pomegranate Paintings

During our last get together dinner with relatives, we were given a bagful of pomegranate that they grew in their yards. So I set out to paint them..all of different shapes and some with leaves or without. My set up in my garage studio was not greatest for lighting especially since I had the florescent lighting. So using an old painting to shade from the ceiling lights and pieces of woods I set up the still life with more directional lighting. The tablecloth that I found in a quick sale pile in a fabric store worked perfectly with the pomegranates.
