I can’t get away from painting fruits. Their colors and shapes are too similar to human skin and shape.

In the “Nectarine and Cherries” I loved how the far right cherry turned out. The reflected light was perfect. So I did another cherry painting. Cherries are so dark almost hard to see other colors but yet their reflective quality make them an interesting subject to paint…at least for me.

These paintings are part of a body of work for an exhibit at the Pence Gallery in January 2019.
