During these times in quarantine, I found these paintings done in 2015. They are now on sale for $45 each on Etsy. These are small paintings varying from 5 x 7 to 6 x 8 inches oil on canvas panels. There’s even a square painting at 6 x 6 inches. Great for the kitchen decor.
I painted this small painting back in 2015. It has been on my Etsy shop for 5 years before it was finally sold. The buyer, Lanie Mann, is an artist herself and she does these beautiful abstracts as well as representational art.
Last night was the Crocker Museum Auction of Big Names Small Art (BNSA). Primarily of small arts to be auctioned off. 100% goes to the Crocker for art education and exhibits. I donated one of my favorite paintings of four years ago. After being exhibited in various places, it finally found a home at this auction. Thanks to another artist, Dawn Pederson who kept tabs on my painting, the last bid known was at $325.
I love painting from the top view. I found that slicing up the fruits have very interesting textures. Especially grapefruits, oranges, lemons and avocados. Their symmetrical and circular shapes make interesting compositions.
This painting was done strictly using palette knife. I found that I can’t render so much but have to consider what color to use before actually applying it on the canvas.
These paintings of pumpkins were painted around 2013. Recently someone bought one of them. I had completed forgotten they were around and thought I had destroyed them.
