Grapefruit and Lemon Halves

I love painting from the top view. I found that slicing up the fruits have very interesting textures. Especially grapefruits, oranges, lemons and avocados. Their symmetrical and circular shapes make interesting compositions.

Mango

Starting to paint for a major upcoming show in January 2019. So most of works that I’m painting now will not be up for sale until after the show.

Apple

More attempts on using the palette knife. Actually the finishing touches with a palette knife but I began this painting with brushes.

Fruits, fruits and more fruits

After my commission with my hairdresser to do a couple of fruit paintings, I did more. This time with kiwi. I have to say that the kiwi are too dark for the light and translucent colors of the oranges and limes. I planned to do more without the kiwi.
