With this painting I wanted to experiment with color by using colored papers. It brought new ideas to how to handle background which I, otherwise, would just paint it white.
I can’t get enough painting fruits. Their colors are so rich. This fruit, lime, is essential to Thai cooking. My son, though, used lime when he was cooking up some burritos.
Those tiny little blueberries were just a challenge to paint. They’re not just a solid blue color; but of different shades of dark blues.

I am participating in the Thirty Paintings in 30 Days challenge coordinated by Leslie Saeta. There are over 700 participants from all over the world. The purpose of the challenge is not to make great paintings but to simply paint every day. It has become a catalyst for many to continue painting.
Fresh from Nugget and juicy.

I am allergic to apples. Seems strange. But I went to an allergist and ran some tests and sure enough, I tested positive. The reaction actually isn’t all that strange. Since I’m allergic to pollen and had hay fever in the past, then my allergy to apples is logical…with their blossoms in the spring.
So since I can’t eat them, at least, I can appreciate their beauty.
