I rediscovered hidden under a pile of other watercolors.
Often as I’m traveling in car through the Sacramento Valley, I can see rows of trees on hilltops off in the distance.
Completely done with a palette knife.
Available for purchase in my Etsy shop.
This painting is part of a series of miniature dollhouse sized paintings of the Yolo Causeway. While my husband is driving, I snapped photos with my smartphone of the vast rice fields stretching across the width of the Yolo Causeway freeway. These photos then becomes references for the mini paintings.
Based on a smartphone photo as we are driving across the Yolo Causeway to Sacramento.
Out and about at the Capay Valley Vineyards for the Yolo County Arts and Ag Project. Breathtaking views! First time I’ve tried out my new laptop pochade box from *Guerilla and it works quite well. It stores all my paints and gamsol. My brushes I carry separately. Though built for a 9 x 12 inches panels, I can also paint 8 x 10 in. panels or any size smaller with the adjusters. Looking forward to doing more plein aire with this pochade art box
